The Board is made up of eleven members.
1. Professor Afolabi Oladapo Abraham (MFR) – EHO/SA/4663
Professor Afolabi, an astute Environmentalist, academician and administrator was born on the 3rd of October 1953 at Ibadan Oyo State. He is a registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/SA/4663) with current practice licence.
He joined public service where he rose to the post of Director, Pollution Control and Environmental Health in Federal Ministry of Environment before becoming a Federal Permanent Secretary serving in the Federal Ministries of Education Agriculture and water resources. He was later promoted to the exalted position of Head of Civil Service of the Federation. He has since retired for service.
He attended the Obafemi Awolowo University where he obtained Bachelor of Science (1975), Master of Science (1978) in Biochemistry and Doctorate degree in Applied Chemistry (1980).
He is now retired but is actively involved in Environmental Health Consultancy services.
2. HRH Musa Idris (MFR) (EHO/6632)
Mr. Musa Idris, a registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/6632) was born in Jiwa in the FCT.
He attended the School of Hygiene Kano where he obtained the Diploma for Public Health Superintendents in 1976.
He practiced in the FCT heading the Environmental Health Offices in Gwagwalada and kuje areas.
He was appointed the Emir of Jiwa in 2003. Despite his exalted status, he is still interested in issues of Environmental Health which he has pursued with a lot of passion.
3. Dr. Kajang Daniel Rikichi (EHO/7566)
Dr. Kajang is a registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/7566)
with current practice license (2014/2015 – 440). Born 27th September
1961 in Kaduna State, he attended School of Health Technology
Kaduna (1980-1983) where he obtained his West Africa Health
Examination Diploma for Public Health Superintendents in1983.
He proceeded the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University,
OAU) where he obtained Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental
Health in 1987. He later proceeded to obtain higher degree in Medical
Sociology and Health Systems Management and a PhD in Public
Health. He also has a Bachelor of Art degree in Theology.
He is currently working with World Bank in Nigeria.
4. Dr. Amadi Charles Iheanyi (EHO/5339)
Dr. Amadi is registered Environmental Health Officer ( EHO/5339) with Current practice licence (2014/2015 - 441). Born 3rd November 1959 in Akwa–Etche in Rivers State, he attended School of Health Technology Port – Harcourt River State (1979-1982) where he obtained his Royal Society of Health Diploma for Public Health Inspectors West Africa in 1982.
He proceeded to University of Ibadan for further training where he obtained the Diploma for Teachers of Health Sciences in 1985 and later University Nigeria Nsukka where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (Education) degree in Health Education. Dr. Amadi also holds a Master of Public Health (2003) and Doctorate Degree in Medical Sociology(2008) of the University of Calabar.
He is currently the Provost, College of Health Sciences and Technology, Port- Harcourt Rivers State.
5. Mrs. Oyeyipo Funmilayo Tinola (EHO/021)
Mrs. Oyeyipo, registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/021) with Current practice licence was born 29th May 1960 in Lagos Island but hails from Kwara State.
She attended School of Health Technology Ogun State, where she obtained her West Africa Health Examination Council Diploma for Public Health Superintendents in 1986. She later proceeded to the University of Nigeria Nsukka, where she Obtained Bachelor of Science (Education) in Health Education in 1996.
She is currently the Environmental Health Division of the Pollution control and Environmental Health Department of the Federal Ministry of Environment, Abuja.
6. Mr. Nwokocha Joseph Ogbonna (EHO/012)
Mr. Nwokocha is a registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/012) with currently practice licence. He was born on the 6th of June 1963 at Ahiazu Mbaise in Imo State.
He attended School of Health Technology Akure, Ondo State where he obtained the West Africa Health Examination Diploma for Public Health Superintendents in 1991. He also obtained a Certificate in Health Planning and Management from the University of Ilorin Kwara State (1999) before proceeding to the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akumgba Ondo State where he obtained a Master’s degree in Environmental management in 2002.
He is currently a staff of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division of the Public Health Department, Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja.
7. Mrs. Olutayo-Faseyitan Omolola Idowu( EHO/921)
Mrs. Olutayo-Faseyitan is a registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/921) with current practice licence. She was born on 15th May 1958 at Ibadan Oyo State.
She attended the School of Health Technology, Ilesa Osun State where she obtained the Royal Society of Health Diploma for Public Health Inspectors West Africa in 1982.
She later proceeded to Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma where she obtained a post graduate diploma in Environmental Management in 2005. She currently has in view the Masters in Environmental Management of the Lead City University.
She is currently Assistant Director Environmental Health at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife Osun State. She is also currently the chairperson, Environmental Health Officers Association of Nigeria, Women Wing.
8. Mrs. Audu Naomi DAnladi (EHO/5214)
Mrs. Audu Danladi, a registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/5214) with current practice licence was born on the 29th of October 1991 at Garkida, Gombi Adamawa State.
She attended the School of Health Technology Mubi Adamawa State where she obtained the West Africa Health Examination Board Diploma for Public Health Superintendents in 1985. She later attended the University of Ibadan where she obtained the Diploma for Teachers of Health Sciences in 1993. She also holds a Diploma in Business Administration and Management (2005) of the Federal Polytechnic Mubi.
She is currently teaching at the College of Health Technology, Mubi Adamawa State.
9. Mr. Eze Denis Madu (EHO/626)
Mr.Eze is a registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/626) with current practice licence (2014/2015 – 225). He was born on the 30th of November 1956 at Enugu, Enugu State.
He attended the School of Health Technology, Aba Abia State where he obtained the Royal Society of Health Diploma for Public Health Inspectors West Africa in 1979. He later proceeded to the University of Ife (Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife where he obtained Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health in 1983.
Mr. Eze retired as Director Environmental Health Services and Principal of Health Technology, Oji River in February 2011. He is currently engaged in Environmental Health Consultancy Services.
10. Mr. Badejo Kehinde (EHO/024)
Mr. Badejo, a registered Environmental Health Officer (EHO/024) with current practice licence (2014/2015-045) was born on the 24th of August 1957 at Owo in Ondo State.
He attended the school of Hygiene Ibadan where he obtained the Royal Society of Health Diploma for Public Health Inspectors West Africa in 1982. He holds Advanced Diploma in Health Education of the University of Ibadan (1991) and a Masters’ degree in Environmental Management of University of Ado Ekiti (1998).
He retired as a Director Environmental Health Services at the Ondo State Waste Management Authority and is currently engaged in Environmental Health Consultancy Services.
11. Hon. Audu Dansa
Hon. Audu Dansa is from Kaduna State. He is a known community leader who has distinguished himself in the state. He has passion for environmental protection. He will be representing public interest in the Council.
