Corporate registration is the registration of companies (corporate persons) carrying out environmental health services in Nigeria. It is currently carried out under six (6) categories corresponding to six different service areas thus – Cleaning Services, Solid Waste Collection Services, Pest Control Services, Sanitary Inspection Services, Sewage Collection Services and Air Quality Management & Noise Pollution Control Services.
On receipt of completed application form for registration, the Council engages the services of a licensed Environmental Health Officer as a consultant to visit the applicant’s company with a view to interviewing the proprietor(s), inspecting the company’s facilities to ensure standard and cross checking the information provided in the application form. After this inspection and on the receipt of report from the consultant, the Council considers the application and conveys her decision within 90 days from the date of receipt of such application. Thereafter, a successful company is required to pay applicable induction fee and shall be issued with certificate of registration after attending induction course organized by the Council. Such company can now practice with practice permit renewable by the Council on yearly basis. A company may register and hold permit in more than one services areas as long as it has the expertise in those areas.

Public Health Pest Control Services
This service is carried out by companies with relevant equipment and expertise in public health pest control and registered in line with section 73 and schedule ix of the National Environmental Health Practice Regulation 2007.
